Election Day
This is what it all boils down to. Time to VOTE! |
Issues
Property Tax Chicanery
Shrinking property valuations and foreclosures have handed
government a problem . . . collections will decline, squeezing fat budgets. To get
around this dilemma the new Property Tax Law allows them to shift the shortfall
into new county, city and municipal income taxes and new sales taxes that automatically
ramp up with inflation. The plan didn’t make our government any smaller, meaning
they need the same revenues. Hide your wallet.
|
Do I have all of the answers? No, but I
intend to protect the wallets of everyone
in Indiana by working for the following:
|
NO Tax Increases
Vigorously vote No,
for any increase in our Indiana Property, Sales or
Income Taxes
and promote Fair and Simple Taxation for Indiana citizens and businesses. |
|
Care for Aging Hoosiers
Prepare for, and prioritize spending for the care of our aging Hoosier population. Rather than buy a train, we need to prepare for the train that will
hit us.
Because our population is aging and Federal budgets are tightening, we face
inescapable health-care costs of massive proportion.
Our seniors are more important
than pet projects. |
Avoid State Debt
We must live within our means, and so should Indiana. Debt is a
killer. Today’s expenditures and bond issues are tomorrow’s taxes.
|
We must work to end overlapping governmental
bureaucracy, beginning with selectively eliminating
Township Trustees in the urban setting. |
Gun Rights
As a gunowner myself, I will always support
the people's right to own firearms. The facts don't lie. Guns save lives.
Guns are
used defensively more than 2,500,000 times a year.
Compare that with the number
of times guns are used to kill people in crimes and how much worse it would be if
so many people had not had a way to protect themselves, their loved ones and their
property.
That being said, I will uphold and continue Indiana's long history of
being a gun friendly state. |

Life
Last three years of statistics averaged from State Department and
elsewhere.
In an average week in America:
- 10 Chicagoans are murdered
- 16 American soldiers are killed in the war on terror
- 321 Americans are murdered in this country
- 830 die on the highway (40% were because someone was drinking)
- 25,000 babies are aborted in this country (since 1973 the number is closing
in on 50 mil.)
I stand firm to protect the precious gift of life from wound to grave.
