Hello,

I see a remarkable but frightening parallel between many of my clients and the fiscal condition of Indiana.  My clients range from the prudent to the careless and the exceedingly wealthy to those trapped in a vicious cycle of credit debt.

Like many of these clients, Indiana is inherently rich, yet spending more than it can prudently afford - forcing its citizens to pay the tax-tab for years to come.

Motivated by a concerned group of people who are tired of disorganized, burdensome and confusing taxation, this Republican movement is a challenge to the status quo in Indianapolis.

The Unhappy Taxpayers for Bill Johnson
and I believe three things.

The first is that tax dollars should not benefit one group of citizens or businesses over another; rather they should benefit everyone equally when properly spent.

The second is that it’s time to put Indiana on a fiscal diet by freezing or reducing our tax burdens.  It’s plain and simple – if Indianapolis feels they need to add a single dollar to the State budget, they should find a dollar of spending to cut.

The third is that our elected officials are not doing the job we sent them to do, which is to give us smaller government and lower taxes.

With respect,

Bill Johnson
